My name is Dr. Renato C. Nicolai (I like to be called Dr. Nick). I wrote The Nightmare That Is Public Education: An Exposé of What Really Happens in Public Schools. After nearly forty years in public education as a 6th through 12th grade teacher of English and the principal of two elementary schools and one middle school, I retired and decided to tell the education community and the public at large how broken public schools are.
Is your neighborhood public school really as good as you've been led to believe? If you think it is, you're probably wrong! This is especially true at middle schools, junior high schools, and high schools. Incompetence and mediocrity haunt America's public education systems. Teachers waste valuable classroom instructional time every day with ineffective teaching methods and inadequate knowledge of subject matter. If you're a parent, you owe it to yourself and your children to discover what really happens in public school classrooms by reading my book. It not only exposes the serious deficiencies in public schools, but also gives numerous suggestions for improvement in every chapter. Read the Summary of Contents page to see what I mean.
Drawing on my experiences as a career teacher and principal, I reveal and explain the shocking reasons why our public schools are broken: mediocrity, reticence, incompetence, permissiveness, lack of discipline, and much more. Teachers will learn how to improve their teaching skills and effectiveness. Parents will not only learn how to evaluate the learning climate of their children's classrooms but what to look for in a good teacher as well.
Whether you're a teacher, parent, school administrator, or school boad member, you can't afford to overlook The Nightmare That Is Public Education: An Exposé of What Really Happens in Public Schools because it's brimming with essential advice and invaluable tips. Take a stand for your child's educational future now, and start by reading this book.
Perhaps you'll decide to let me know what you think by participating in my blog.
